As we continue into Fall 2025, I’m excited to share the latest news and updates from Pivot North Bay. This newsletter highlights the progress we’re making on campus, including new programs, an expanded facility, and the staff and students who make our school community so strong.
This semester, we’re especially proud of the improvements to our North Bay site. The expanded space provides more room for students to learn, collaborate, and connect. We’ve also made important upgrades to support campus safety and security, helping ensure that students and staff feel welcomed and protected each day. These updates reflect our commitment to providing a high-quality learning environment, both academically and physically.
In this newsletter, you’ll also read about our new Grad Track program, designed to support students in ways that fit their individual needs as they work toward graduation, as well as our new Pivot-wide arts programming that is already making a difference. Alongside these developments, you’ll have the chance to learn more about Hunter Stapko, a thriving Pivot student, as well as our incredible new Director of Special Education, Carol Castro Ballard, who is innovating our Special Education program with leadership and dedication.
At Pivot, academics are central to our mission. But we also understand that student success depends on feeling supported, safe, and connected. The stories in this issue highlight how we continue to build that kind of learning environment every day.
If Pivot North Bay has made a positive impact on your family, I invite you to share your story with me and with your community! Santa Rosa City Schools will hold a public hearing on October 22 to consider renewing our charter, and we’d be honored to have you join us. We’ll have signs and ways for families to show their support and share how Pivot has made a difference in their student’s educational journey. Your experiences help us continue operating and reach more students who can benefit from our flexible and caring approach to education.
Thank you for being a valued part of our school community.
