Pivot Charter School North Bay, is expanding its resource center elementary program to five days per week! The elementary program previously offered a 2-day per week option. In response to parent requests, however, the program will begin offering daily resource center elementary support on January 4th, following the winter recess. The daily program offers greater flexibility for working parents.
The expanded elementary program will add a Spanish language component that will be staffed with a credentialed Spanish teacher for all grade levels. Adding a foreign language component to the elementary curriculum provides greater educational opportunities for Pivot students. “Pivot is a 21st century school that is committed to producing students capable of thriving in modern society,” said Jayna Gaskell, Executive Director. “The Pivot blended learning environment gives us the flexibility to respond to parent feedback and continuously improve the educational opportunities for our students.”
The elementary program is available to students in grades K-5. The program will run daily from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm to supplement the daily homeschool online learning program. The elementary classroom program is augmented with field trip opportunities for enrolled students. Field trips currently planned include the Children’s Museum and the beach to supplement the current curricular focus on oceans.
