On November 1, Pivot Charter School North Bay proudly welcomed Santa Rosa Mayor Natalie Rogers to its resource center, offering the opportunity to experience the school’s interactive and supportive learning environment. The visit offered a deeper look into how Pivot blends online learning with in-person support to meet students’ individual needs and foster engagement, creativity and academic success.

The visit was particularly meaningful for Mayor Rogers, not just as a community leader but as a former Pivot parent. As a mother of eight, she personally understands that every child has unique educational needs. Years ago, when one of her children needed a learning environment that combined flexibility with personalized support, she chose Pivot. And during her recent visit, she was able to see once again how the school’s customized approach helps students thrive.

“Every student learns differently, and Pivot offers a unique blend of support that addresses those individual needs,” shared Mayor Rogers. “It was inspiring to hear how today’s students are so engaged in their creative projects and academic activities. The commitment of the staff to nurturing each student’s potential truly reflects the value of personalized education.”

“We were honored to welcome Mayor Rogers back to our school, this time in her capacity as Santa Rosa’s mayor,” said Jayna Gaskell, Executive Director of Pivot Charter Schools. “Her experience as a Pivot parent is a powerful reminder of the importance of offering diverse learning pathways.”

Beyond a robust online curriculum that includes Career Technical Education courses, Pivot North Bay enhances student learning through hands-on opportunities at the resource center, such as this recent visit. Pivot also offers concurrent enrollment, workforce experience and internship programs, enabling students to earn college credit through partnerships with Santa Rosa Junior College, California State University San Marcos and Sonoma State University.

Dedicated to empowering students to reach their full potential, Pivot Charter School North Bay continues to be a beacon of innovative education in the community. For more information about Pivot’s approach, visit Pivot North Bay.
